GAMA-Guitar Teacher Workshops
In 1995, GAMA, NAMM and MENC launched a program to train music teachers to start guitar programs in middle and high schools. It is estimated that over the years the program has trained 650 teachers, and has introduced the guitar to 208,650 students, 38,850 of which have purchased their own guitar. NAMM Foundation
Research Division The NAMM Foundation Research Division, formerly, the International Foundation for Music Research (IFMR), was founded in 1997 to support scientific research to explore the relationship between music and physical and emotional wellness, with particular attention to the senior population, the impact of music making on at-risk youth, and music education and the effect of music and music making. John Lennon Educational Tour Bus
The John Lennon Songwriting Contest Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit, mobile recording studio outfitted with traditional musical instruments as well as current technological advances. Since 1998, the Bus has provided free hands-on programs to hundreds of high schools, colleges, Boys and Girls Clubs, music festivals, concerts, conventions and community organizations. MENC-The National Association for Music Education
The National Association for Music Education exists to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all. For the latest information regarding music teachers, advocacy and teacher resources visit MENC.

The Coalition for Music Education in Canada is dedicated to ensuring all Canadian children have access to music education. We work with parents, educators and government officials to ensure every child has an opportunity to receive music education.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America
NAMM and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have formed an alliance to bring after-school music programs to clubs nationwide. Designed to serve children ages 5 to 12, the "Music Makers" program uses games to teach kids about music and promote social and emotional growth after school. Program participants use guitars, drums and hand percussion, to learn about music making in a fun, relaxed environment.
With over 3,700 clubs nationwide, the program has the potential to reach 4.5 million children who attend Boys and Girls Clubs across the nation. BGCA clubs will be encouraged to partner with their local NAMM Member music retailer for expert advice, sales and ongoing service.

Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation supports music education and its many benefits through the donation and repair of musical instruments to under-served schools, community music programs and individual students nationwide.
MHOF was inspired by the acclaimed motion picture Mr. Holland's Opus, the story of the profound effect a dedicated music teacher had on generations of students. The film's composer, Michael Kamen, founded MHOF in 1996 as his commitment to the future of music education.
Museum of Making Music
The mission of the Museum of Making Music is to celebrate the rich history and encourage the future of music making. The one-of-a-kind museum invites all NAMM members to tour the Museum FREE of charge. Located in the NAMM Industry Headquarters in beautiful Carlsbad, Calif., the museum is a great way to experience first-hand the impact of the music products industry over the last 100 years.

PMC-Percussion Marketing Council
PMC is a non-profit music industry organization dedicated to representing the percussion segment of the music products industry that has worked with NAMM on a variety of programs. PMC recently released "Mommy & Me" Early Childhood Music Program, an exciting new music participation program for preschool children and their parents that complements NAMM's already popular Sesame Street Music Works project. The Technology Institute for Music Educators
The Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME) is a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Pennsylvania whose mission is to assist music educators in applying technology to improve teaching and learning in music. TI:ME develops standards and course materials for music technology in-service training and maintains a certification program. TI:ME has been in existence since 1996.

The Music Magazine Publishers Association (MMPA) is a membership organization established in 1996 by and for publishers of periodicals serving musicians and music enthusiasts. The MMPA has two primary purposes: To encourage positive perceptions and acceptance of musician-oriented magazines throughout all segments of the music products industry; to facilitate the most efficient, cost effective distribution and sale of music magazines in music retail outlets possible.
